Art & Culture

Centre Pompidou is a centre for modern art. Within the centre there are exhibitions, theatre, music, dance and many other visual art performances that take place. The Latin Quarter (Quartier Latin) used to be the artistic district of Paris, however, the historic district Le Marais is just as interesting! Paris is home to many artists, so in museums you’ll find classical art accompanied by modern art and in the trendiest galleries you will be able to buy the latest of the latest designs.

Bars & Clubs

Paris has much to offer when it comes to going out. Districts like Montparnasse, Le Bastille, Le Marais and Les Halles have great bars and clubs where you can dance until sunrise. Montmartre mainly offers cabaret, where Opera Garnier and Opera Bastille show various operas. You can tell that Paris has a lot more in store then bars, night clubs and cabaret by the amount of jazz clubs in the city. For instance, New Morning has been an excellent jazz club for over 35 years and is greatly appreciated amongst jazz lovers. Also, the world-famous night club Moulin Rouge, still has people enjoying the Can-Can dancers in their dashing outfits.

Dining

Eating out in Paris is more varied than ever. Start your evening in a star quality restaurant, a cosy bistro or a nice foreign restaurant. And even then you can enjoy the French culinary delights such as Canard à l’orange, Coq-au-vin, onion soup, quiche and a classic Nicoise Salad. Various national top chefs display their food art on the loveliest plates. Still, there is a shift, because many international chefs have found their way to Paris. They bring their traditions and signature dishes to the table and make Paris more international than ever.
